What to expect on Your First Visit

Intake Information

If you were able to fill out the online intake information, we will see you at the time you scheduled a visit. If you for some reason are unable to fill out the online intakes, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out some health information. Our De Pere Chiropractor is looking forward to getting your relief from your aches and pains.

Examination & X-rays

The first visit can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes depending on your chief complaint. The average is 20-30 Minutes. We take x-rays ~25% of the time. If you have recent trauma, have been in a recent accident or have a clinically relevant reason, the you and the doctor will decide if it is appropriate to obtain imaging.

Will I get treatment on the first visit?

Generally, yes. Once you and your chiropractor agree a trial of care is appropriate after the examination, then treatment can begin. Let the relief from your aches and pains start!

Will I get home exercises?

Yes, following the first visit you will receive an email to download an app and your personalize plan will be in videos on your phone. Our De Pere Chiropractor finds you get the best relief from your aches and pains if you perform your exercises. If they are not a good fit, bring it up and Dr. Kocken will work with you to get a plan that works for you.

How do I schedule my future appointments?

You will get a recommendation from the chiropractor how many visit(s) per week/month for your complaint. It is up to you to make these appointments. Our front desk staff is happy to make them in the De Pere clinic or you can....yes....you guessed it, you can schedule a visit online. Relief from lower back pain, neck pain and headaches has never been this close to your fingertips.
